FAQ

Does HH Ranch have a brick and mortar building, where do you sell the beef?

You can buy online through the order form at the bottom of this page or find us at the Bastrop Farmers Market and Pedernales Farmers Market, hours listed below. At the markets the beef is frozen solid and great to toss back in the freezer when you get home or start the defrosting process for a remarkable meal later that day.

What’s in a Hatchitt Hill Artisan Beef variety box?

The variety boxes include two restaurant-quality steaks such as tenderloin, ribeye, or NY strip; two front quarter cuts like denver, flat iron, chuck eye; also a selection of roasts, sirloin, ribs or other nice cuts; and delicious Wagyu ground beef. We are happy to fill requests for specific cuts while supplies last.

How much does a variety box cost?

$200 and $300 options- the $300 box, better known as the “grill box”, contains a smoking meat to accompany the rest of a variety box.

Do we sell individual cuts?

Yes, we sell by the pound.

Do we sell quarter, half, or whole cows?

Whole, half or quarter beef is available to local restaurants and customers who need larger quantities of beef. Our animals hang around 900lbs so customers can expect around 450lbs of ground beef, cuts and offals. Quarter cows, depending on the final size on the animal, will be in the neighborhood of $1750-$2000. A quarter is roughly 100lbs of half ground beef and half cuts. We can arrange to add on or take away certain items to fulfill picanha, trip tip, brisket and other primals that only come in pairs. Halves and whole cows are a proportional cost- close to 200lbs or 400lbs, respectively. We’ll be with you every step of the way when working with our butcher, ensuring you know your cut sheet options and what to expect will come off the animal.

Do we deliver or ship?

We offer home delivery in the Austin – San Antonio area for $200 orders and up. Orders under $200 most customers will meet us at the farmer’s market for pickup free of any delivery charges. We love meeting our customers face-to-face for delivery or pickup. We ship beef throughout the Southwest and Midwest, and the shipping charges are added to the cost.

How do you accept payment, can we pay online?

Cash is always appreciated, due to extra fees charged by credit card companies. We do take credit cards with a 3% fee, which is an additional $6 per variety box. For online payments we will send an invoice to your choice of email or text message where you finalize payment after you’ve filled out the order form in the link below.
